Red velvet cupcakes equals quality time

i made these red velvet cupcakes from a box. yes you read that correct. but i added some special things which made them special. like sour cream, greek yoghurt, cocoa powder and vanilla extract.

they were marvelous and even rose a bit higher than i wanted

then i made the frosting,

delicious cream cheese, 2 cups of powdered sugar and vanilla essence, a half stick of unsalted butter.and finished them off with a maraschino cherry or a piece of chocolate

then i boxed them in pairs of 4 and gave them away to my friends and relatives. but yes, i tried one, it was delicious not too sweet and fluffy.
