peppers and more

a gi uma nen pepre
this pepper was planted by my dad. when i tasted it for the first time, i almost drank a whole liter bottle of water. it was the agi uma nen pepper. translated  it gives the woman a name.
complimenting the cook sounds better as i think this has to do with the aroma from the pepper that is released when cooked in several dishes.
it has a very appetizing aroma, but when you eat is, ooh, then the woman becomes a hot one.

Add the shrub is not too large and full of green leaves. until the iguana or the ugly green worm finds it.
a while back i purchased this little bottle of aji amarillo. i had made a recipe earlier which uses this yellow hotsauce originating from Peru and Columbia.  the dish is called  papa a la huancaina;for the recipe you can go to: http://perudelights.com/papa-a-la-huancaina-revisited.
i had also made causa relleno some birthdays ago, and one recipe for that is here:
 http://southamericanfood.about.com/od/fusionfare/r/causa.htm

needless to say that the first few times, i just invented the taste as i did not have the special ingredient. when i could buy it, i knew that i could make my own. so i did just that, using the yellow agi uma nen peppers and boy, it turned out fabulous.
less hot, maybe due to the oil, vinegar and the fact that i took out the seeds and then pureed everything together with some salt and garlic.
it made my vegetarian dinner so much better and it looks nice.

.
the other peppers are the Madame jeanette, hot and aromatic too and  a red one, which i don't know if it has a name.
all are milder than the a gi uma nen pepper. the sopropo aka bitter melon is from a friend, i just love it, thinly bias sliced and fried in olive oil with slices of the pepper and some garlic. a hint of curry and fresh cooked white rice. o la la.
now this, was a sad day.
oi  i had to cut down my mango tree, because it was infested with cupins, wood eaters. and as my house is made of wood, i have to be very careful.
i had some professionals take care of business.
a few weeks earlier they had to come to take down my date tree. which was uprooted by the winds and other reasons. i cried silently, because i loved my trees/
hopefully i will have something else to grow fast.
